Satoshi 1 is a pseudonymous individual or group credited with creating Bitcoin, the first decentralized cryptocurrency. The identity of Satoshi 1 remains unknown, and their work laid the foundation for the entire blockchain and cryptocurrency movement. Satoshi 1 authored the original Bitcoin whitepaper titled Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System in 2008 and subsequently developed the Bitcoin software, mining the first block, known as the genesis block, in January 2009. Over time, Satoshi 1 gradually withdrew from active involvement, leaving the development and maintenance of Bitcoin to the broader community.
