Muhammad

Muhammad, also spelled Muhammed or Mohammed, is regarded as the founder of Islam and is considered by Muslims to be the last prophet sent by God to guide humanity. He was born in the city of Mecca, in present-day Saudi Arabia, around the year 570 CE. Muhammad is believed to have received revelations from God through the Angel Gabriel, which were later compiled into the Quran, the holy book of Islam.

Muhammad's teachings emphasize monotheism, social justice, compassion, and moral integrity. He established a spiritual community in Medina, which eventually grew into a significant religious and political entity.
