The FreedomBox Foundation is a United States–based nonprofit organization (a 501(c)(3)) founded in 2011 by Columbia Law School professor Eben Moglen. It serves as the organizational headquarters for the FreedomBox project, aiming to develop, support, and promote the FreedomBox private-server software, coordinate partnerships, provide legal and fundraising support, and act as the public face of the project.
