BitcoinPaperWallet was a Bitcoin paper wallet generator website and project, hosted at bitcoinpaperwallet.com. It was built as a browser-based implementation inspired by BitAddress and served as a tool to generate offline paper wallets for Bitcoin. In 2018 the site’s ownership changed hands, being sold to an unknown new owner later identified as Sarkis Sarkissian. Over time there were warnings and reports within the Bitcoin community that the service had generated or exposed used private keys, leading to security concerns. As of December 2025, BitcoinPaperWallet was permanently discontinued, with recommendations to use alternative offline methods or hardware wallets instead. (en.bitcoin.it)
